Hon. Richard E. Neville (Ret.) brings to his dispute resolution practice, over 36 years of judicial and legal experience in both state and federal jurisdictions. Since joining JAMS, Judge Neville has successfully resolved numerous mediations and arbitrations in a multitude of practice areas.ADR Experience and Qualifications
  • Aviation: cases involving manufacturing defects, pilot error, and airline carriers
  • Business/Commercial: numerous contract and other types of business disputes in a variety of industries including telecommunications, manufacturing, intellectual property, investment banking, railroads, and entertainment
  • Class Action: nationwide claims regarding environmental superfund, consumer, advertising and promotional issues
  • Construction: numerous claims involving various types of structures, parties, and issues, including design and work defect allegations, and allocation and insurance coverage issues
  • Employment: numerous discrimination issues including race, gender and age, contract, harassment, and "whistleblower" claims, both class action and individual
  • Insurance: coverage disputes involving reinsurance and multiple carriers; issues included misstatements regarding risks and company policies and procedures in several foreign countries
  • Intellectual Property: computer software and technical disputes, trade secrets, copyright and patent litigation issues
  • Professional Liability: numerous legal, accountants, architect, and engineer allegations of violations of professional standards, negligence, and conflicts of interest
  • Real Estate: resolved numerous disputes involving contractor, contracts, leasing and sales, warranties and insurance coverage, management breach of fiduciary duties, and profit distribution issues

From 1971 through 1986 Judge Neville was active in both federal and state trial practice.
