J. Timothy Eaton is a senior litigation partner at Shefsky & Froelich Ltd. in Chicago, Illinois.  In the last 10 years, he has been involved in over 60 arbitrations either as a sole arbitrator, panel arbitrator or panel chair for both the American Arbitration Association and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution.  His arbitrations have involved disputes regarding contracts, employment agreements, insurance coverage, ERISA, vendor disputes, securities, utility rates, banking disputes, accounting malpractice, attorney’s fees, banking practices, employment law, coal mining contracts, distributorship agreements, products liability and warranties.

Mr. Eaton is also an experienced commercial litigator and appellate practitioner.  He is a Past-President of the Illinois State Bar Association, President-Elect of the Chicago Bar Association, Past-President of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association, Past-Chair of the ISBA Civil Practice and Procedure Council, Board member of the Federal Bar Association and Board of Governors member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
